I rode my first National Championships on the road in Invercargill at 16 years old, my Dad was racing at the time and I got the bug watching him race. My first bike was a yellow MTB (I forget the brand) and then i think a Giant Cadex. After representing NZ at a novice level I went on to make the team for the Junior Track World Championships in 2005 and 2006, where I was part of the team that won the Team Pursuit in 05’ and was 2nd in 06’. I have always enjoyed the track and its complexity for what looks sometimes to be a simple discipline. Off the bike I enjoy cooking and relaxing at a good café with some good food.
